TR1-Treffen 2009 | TR1-Meeting 2009 | TR1-Rencontre 2009

You will find usefull information here about the international TR1 Meeting 2009 in the Hotel Forsthaus in Rieden in the Eifel/Germany.

This infopage is for the time being only for the the Jahr 2009, but eventually we will hold the rally more often there.

Here you'll find an interresting report about the 2008 meeting.

Date and Location

The meeting will take place from 7.-9. August 2009. It will take place in the Hotel Forsthaus in Rieden within the Eifel.

We have the whole house for ourselves on this weekend. The hotel has a nice patio, a saloon, camping ground, meadow and a small garage, just for the case that something should get broken...

Invitation/Registration

We are not sending invitations by post this year, but we will send invitations via email to all known addresses of TR1-drivers. So please, if you know someone who has no email address or is not yet registered within our drivers list, please show him this page, make a hardcopy for him, or tell him in which way you ever want...

Everyone who is sure that he wants to come to the meeting, should announce himself up to 2 weeks before the meeting. Please drop us a short mail to Georg or Willi, or give us a call (Georg: 0261/45792, Willi: 0175/5702847). We have to tell the chief of the Forsthaus, how many peplpe will come.

Registration at the meeting

On arrival at the meeting, we ask you to check in as soon as possible.

We'll note down your address, and eventually make a photo from you for the drivers list. Of course you may buld up your tent before... ;-)

When signing up, you will also have to pay the participation fee for the meeting:

Costs

As mentioned before, a participation fee has to be paid for the meeting. It includes the basic charge for sticker, campground, bonfire, beer pavillion, shower and toilett trailer; and also the Dinner and Breakfast.

Drinks are paid separately.

Who wants to do so, can reserve a room in the hotel, but we ask everyone to do that for himself. Just phone the hotel at 0049 2655 95990.

The costs are per person:

Arrival atFridaySaturday

Room94,- EUR52,- EUR

(The dinner is 13 EUR, breakfast 7 EUR, basic charge 10 EUR. A room will cost 22 EUR per day and person.)

Passengers, Friends, Children

Of course we will also welcome your friends that are driving with you and do not own a TR1 by semselfes (poor guys...) ;-) as long as there wont come 13 Hondas on one TR1. It is and shall stay a TR1 meeting.

Of course passengers are very welcome too, just as children. Every year there are about a dozen of children, that have great fun the more new children do arrive.

Liability for the children is solely with the parents or the accompanying person. Please look also at the section about Liability below.

Approach

The address of the hotel is as follows:

Hotel Forsthaus

Dinner and lunch are included within the participation fee, drinks will be billed separately. The keeper of the hotel, Christian Schlich, will be responsible for the catering, and all the costs must be paid directly to him or his emplyoees.

Please do not forget to take cutlery and crockery with you, just for the case...

A timing plan, with actual modifications, will be there on the pinboard.

Round tour

On Saturday we will make a nice round tour with our motorbikes. We will make 2 or 3 groups separated by preferred driving speed. We have planned to visit the "Vulcan City" Mendig, where we will tour the Lava Cellar or the Museumslay. Afterwards, we will have lunch in theVulcan Brewery.

Later we will make a small journey over the twisting and mountained roads of the Eifel, eventually with a short coffee break at the Nürburgring.

On the late afternoon we'll be back at the Forsthaus. 1km away there is a swimming lake, which can be visited if you want.

We have made a textual description and a map(Part 1, Part 2) and a detailed time plan of the planned route, so that noone should get lost. We will have a leader and a rearguard in each group, but everyone is responsible for himself and should have a roadmap or even a navigation system with him, so that he can orientate himself.

Liability

Sadly, we have to make a notice about liability on the pinboard. It will read as follows:

The participation at the TR1-meeting occurs at your own risk! The organizers and all other persons (other participants, companions, visitors etc.) will not assume any liability for anything. Parents or the accompanying person will be responsible for their children.

Especially on the round trip on saturday, everyone is responsible for himself!

Rules

1. There are no rules.

2. Throttle is on the right.

Seriously: Until now, we have never had any great problems during a TR1 meeting. In order that this will remain constant, we ask every participant to stay within reliable limits. Please dont be too loud at the night, there are roumours that some people want to sleep then... And please, don't drink more alcohol, than what will fit in with force...

Have fun, and a good arrival!

Willi and Georg
